Applying Repel - A guide

It is safe for horses and  non toxic, however we do recommend an allergy test to be extra careful.  Spray a small amount on the horses neck and wait 24 hours before applying liberally.

Applying Repel Spray:
Use a spray bottle and turn nozzle to fine mist.
Start behind the ears and spray down the body under the belly and right down to the hooves, remembering the tail, as ticks climb up the tail and legs.  If a tick does try it will die before it bites .
Use a soft cloth and spray onto the cloth then wipe around the eyes nose and mouth.  Change cloth and wipe under the tail.

You can also spray  fly masks and rugs. First wash the mask and rug, wait for it to be thoroughly dry, spray liberally then wait again for it to be dry before using it.

This product will stay on the rug and mask  for  2 to 3 washes.

Horse should be sprayed before turnout in the morning and after grooming in the evening.
The rule of thumb is 1litre per horse per month.
Can also be used around mangers, doors and buckets.
Your horses will love you for this

Applying Repel Balm:

Offers the same effective protection against insects and insect borne disease as the Repel Spray.

The active ingredient is suspended in a cream base which is gentle on the skin.

The product has been formulated to be used on the soft skin around the nose, eyes, under the tail, not only is it highly effective as a repellent/insecticide, but it is nourishing and gentle on the soft areas.

Use the pump bottle, and squirt onto your hand, (a sponge or cloth may also be used) go ahead and gently rub the balm on all sensitive areas of the horse, (around the eyes, nose, mouth and under the tail).

It is also recommended that you apply to the inside of the ears. This will kill ticks which are in the ears, or kill ticks, midges, mosquitoes who attempt to bite the horse around the ears.
